Spring/Summer ’16 sees Olivia von Halle take you to Palm Springs and the hedonistic soirées of the golden age of Hollywood, where wild parties were the order of the day...
Imagining the eras' most infamous screen sirens, the centre of their own decadent drama, von Halle captures the mood of the season in bold botanical prints, geometric patterns, exotic jewel-toned hues and metallic piped trims. Rich emeralds, midnight blues and bubble gum pinks define the spirit of the collection, which is at once impossibly luxe, yet irrefutably playful.
With the return of signature silhouettes come two inimitable new styles. Offering an effortlessly chic spin on masculine tailoring the Hemmingway shirt is available in crisp white cotton poplin or classic striped cotton twill. With its long-line cut, oversized cuffs and gold bar cufflinks this piece resolutely blurs the line between loungewear and ready-to-wear with aplomb. Joining the Hemmingway, the Mila silk slip dress makes for a relaxed alternative to the classic Remy; combining the maximalist prints for which Olivia von Halle is known with a pared-back silhouette.
Channelling the spirit of the collection new face May Douglas fronts the campaign, playing the heroine of seduction. Shot on location at Talisman London, the campaign puts a thoroughly modern spin on all the heady glamour of this bygone era of opulence.
